Moves by Suki Waterhouse

This song has been on repeat for me over the past month. The best way to describe this song is the perfect end-of-summer, beginning-of-school track. I kid you not, when this song comes on in the car, I turn the volume up all the way and roll down the windows. I definitely recommend that you do the same when you listen. It’s super happy and upbeat and an all around great song.

Serotonin by Fog Lake

I rediscovered this song when I listened to my fall playlist from last year. It reminds me of walking through the park surrounded by yellow and orange leaves. This song makes me really happy and it has a super chill beat. It makes me excited for the chilly weather. You should definitely add this to your fall playlist.

For Emma by Bon Iver

I first heard of Bon Iver when he was featured on Taylor Swift’s “Folklore” album in 2020. I fell in love with his voice and started listening to more of his music. When I came across “For Emma” I immediately added it to my fall playlist and pretty much listened to it everyday. Like “Serotonin”, this song screams pumpkin bread and apple cider.

Hand Me Downs by Mac Miller

I absolutely love Mac Miller. He’s always in my top five artists on my Spotify Wrapped. Mac Miller has such a beautiful voice and his music is so diverse. I could include a dozen of his songs on this Music Monday, but this song specifically really embodies the concept of fall for me. The only way for me to describe “Hand Me Downs” is chill. The beat, his voice, everything about this song is so chill. It’s perfect to listen during a study session on a chilly fall night.

Mood Ring Baby by Field Medic

This is the sweetest, non-cheesy love song. It makes me feel so warm and happy. I first discovered this song in the fall of 2021 and I’ve loved it ever since. This is a slow-beat indie-pop song that really depicts the color red to me, if that makes sense. I have this thing where I associate specific songs with the vibe of colors and this one is so red. Listen and see if you agree!

Worlds Apart by Wallows

Wallows is probably my favorite band of all time and this song is very nostalgic to me. I listened to it every single day in October (my favorite month) 2021. The piano in the background adds such a nice touch and the drum beat sounds like it’s out of a movie. This is a very instrumental song, which I don’t usually like but it just works here.

  1. Coli (feat. Earl Sweatshirt) by The Alchemist

This song is definitely different from all of the other songs on this list but it does fall under the category of chill. I don’t really listen to The Alchemist or Earl Sweatshirt but this song is just so good. The violins bring this song to a whole other level and I love the vocals in the background. This song is always included in my fall soundtrack.
