Their coffee and other drinks are house made and their food items come from businesses all across NULU and surrounding areas such as, sandwiches by Crouton’s Sandwiches and pastries from Butchertown Bakery. Five of our On The Record staffers visited the cafe on the afternoon of Thursday, August 21, 2025.

Goldie’s cafe has an instantly captivating interior. I ordered an italian sandwich that is originally from Crouton’s sandwiches, a local favorite known for its crafty sandwiches. That’s part of Goldie’s charm: while it has its own cozy vibe, it also brings in food from other local spots, curating NULU’s food scene all in one place. The sandwich included salami, prosciutto, red onions, lettuce, and banana peppers all on a baguette. It’s a very filling sandwich and was the perfect balance between savory and tangy. Even if you’re not a sandwich person, this cafe has a beautiful interior to offer. From a variety of unique sweet treats lined up against the walls to the checkered floors to the mirrors on either ends of the cafe, Goldie’s cafe is a riveting new spot that brings a new and fun vibe to the neighborhood.

My food at Goldie’s was truly great. I got the cheddar chive scone and the jambon beurre. The cheddar chive scone was my personal favorite. It has a unique blend of flavors, combined in an exceptional way. It was much more savory than sweet, contrasting from a traditional scone. My sandwich, the jambon beurre, was a classic french creation made strictly of ham, bread , and butter. While I felt they may have went overboard with the butter, this sandwich was delicious as well, and I truly enjoyed my time at Goldie’s.

Goldie’s was nestled in nicely among the shops of Nulu. It had a warm aesthetic, pleasing wood architecture and food placed on display at the front counter. I ordered an Italian sub. It was packed with flavor: ham, bologna, provolone, lettuce, and mayo. Afterwards, I grabbed a rich peanut butter cookie. I got to eat outside in their open courtyard, right off of Market street, before heading out. It was fast, moderately priced, and delicious. Most certainly would recommend.

As soon as we walked into Goldie’s, I immediately loved the vibe of the place. The decorations set such a cozy atmosphere in the café, and it was kind of place you just can’t stop looking around in. The counter itself was right by the door, stocked full of sandwiches, scones, bagels, cookies, and brownies, making our decisions very difficult. I decided to go with a chocolate chip cookie (warmed up) and a scoop of vanilla bean gelato, which ended up being a great choice. As the counter worker prepared my order, I started to walk around the rest of the store and look around at what they had to offer. There were countless tables and shelves full of random little items to purchase. From chicken face spatulas to artisanal French cheese, Goldie’s really has it all. Once all of our food was ready, we sat down on their outdoor patio to enjoy the cooler weather and the Nulu atmosphere. The vibes were so good that I started texting my friends as I was eating to tell them about this new spot they need to try. All in all, I would definitely recommend coming to this café, especially in the upcoming autumn months. The food and atmosphere were both great, and there’s something for everyone!
