Louisville is home to various fall events for all ages. Here are some of our top picks.

Hillcrest Avenue

When? All of October

Where? Hillcrest Avenue

What? An immersive Halloween experience for all ages. Every house that lines the street decorates for Halloween and works their hardest to scare the neighborhood’s annual visitors! 

Ticket price? Free!

 

Jack O’Lantern Spectacular

When? October 3-31st, opens at dusk

Where? Iroquois Park 

What? Supporting the Parks Alliance of Louisville, The Jack O’Lantern Spectacular truly encompasses the spirit of Halloween! It showcases an illuminated path lined with 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins from hundreds of artists. 

Ticket price? $15 Sunday-Thursday, $20 Friday-Saturday

 

Venardos Circus 

When? October 5th, 7:00-8:30 pm

Where? Waterfront Park- South Great Lawn

What? The Venardos Circus is a family-owned traveling circus that provides broadway-style entertainment. The circus offers an assortment of animal-free attractions, from acrobats to magicians to classic circus treats.

Ticket Price? $25.00, but price varies

 

St. James Art Show

When? October 6-8th 

Where? Historic Old Louisville

What? 2023 marks the 66th annual St. James Art Show. The show offers a variety of different booths with local vendors. A variety of artists from across the country gather for this three day event.

Louisville Orchestra 

When? October 14th, 7:30

Where? Whitney Hall – 501 W Main St, Louisville, KY 40202 

What? Directed by Teddy Abrams, the LO is a historically innovative orchestra in Louisville. The performance, titled, “Lasting Legacies,” incorporates both rock and classical genres with an overarching theme of family.

Haunted Hotel 

When? October 15th, 8-10 pm 

Where? 3000 S 4th St, Louisville, KY 40208

What? The Haunted Hotel is a spine-chilling, blood-curdling haunted house experience. Known as Louisville’s longest standing and scariest haunted house, the Haunted Hotel has no limits.

Victorian Ghost Walk 

When? October 20th, 6-8 pm, walks depart every 15 minutes

Where? Old Louisville

What? The Victorian Ghost Walk is an outdoor theater production in which the audience walks around old Louisville with the performers. They explore the history and beauty of Old Louisville, as well as haunted stories of the neighborhood!

Spiderman Into The Spider Verse Live in Concert

When? October 20th, 7:30 pm

Where? Brown Theater – 315 W Broadway

What? The Academy Award winning film, “Spiderman Into The Spider Verse,” will be accompanied by a live orchestra and DJ for an immersive movie viewing experience!

Ticket Price? $45-70 

 

Louisville Taco Festival 

When? October 21-22nd

Where? Fourth Street Live!

What? Louisville’s 5th annual Taco Festival is offering live music and entertainment for the whole family. With games, eating contests, and 75 varieties of $3 tacos, you will be in taco heaven.

Ultimate Halloween Fest The Great Balloon Glow 

When? October 27th 6-10PM

Where? Lynn Family Stadium

What? As a part of the Ultimate Halloween Fest, 10 hot air balloons will be displayed for trick-or-treaters. Two of the 10 balloons will offer tethered balloon rides! Costumes are encouraged.

Ultimate Halloween Fest Halloween Parade 

When? October 28th, 12PM

Where? Lynn Family Stadium

What? Celebrating 20 years of Halloween spirit, the Louisville Halloween Parade Festival is Kentucky’s longest Halloween celebration. The parade features marchers promoting businesses and local organizations!

Ticket Price? $15

 

Ultimate Halloween Fest Haunted House

When? October 29th 

Where? Lynn Family Stadium

What? Upon buying an admission ticket, there will be unlimited entries to this classic haunted house!
