Recently, I have been listening to a lot of Cage the Elephant — his lively and catchy songs are always sure to put me in the best spring mood — so here is a mix of fan favorites and lesser-known hits for the season.
“Cigarette Daydreams”
It wouldn’t be a complete Cage the Elephant song list without Cigarette Daydreams — a popular song for good reason. Its calming yet upbeat tune makes it the perfect song for a windows-down spring drive.
“Take it or Leave it”
While scrolling through Cage the Elephant’s spotify profile, this was a quick add to my playlist. Its fast and speedy melody keeps you listening and singing along for all three and a half minutes. If you like songs like Brazil by Declan Mckenna, or anything from artists Dominic Fike or Mt. Joy, this is right up your alley!
“Telescope”
This is probably my current favorite song from the band. The nostalgia and comfort this song brings is next level, and it’s perfect to jam out to while late-night driving or getting early morning coffee. It’s simple yet joyful melody paired with loud and exciting lyrics makes it a great listen wherever you are.
“Trouble”
Loud and bright, yet soft and quiet, is the best way to describe this song. Its relaxing vibe paired with intense lyrics and beat, makes it such a hit. This song is perfect for any occasion at any time of day — but especially fulfilling at night.
“Halo”
The strong and steady beat of this song adds to its bold vibe. Whenever I play this song, its fast pace and catchy tune immediately wakes me up and gets me going. It is great for a drive with friends or a neighborhood walk. It is more aggressive and loud than the others on the list, but nevertheless, a great song.
