The Thrill by Wiz Khalifa & Empire of the Sun

Although this song has become popular on tiktok, it’s still my favorite song to blast. The vibes this song radiates are unmatched by any other song. This song screams teenagers during the summer doing whatever they want. Its energetic and catchy beats really just create a sense of care-freeness. The lyrics evoke images of sunny summer days, going to the beach, and sitting by the pool. This song is never a skip to me.

Hypotheticals by Lakestreet Drive

I’ve only recently discovered Lake Street Drive, but after listening to a couple of songs, Hypotheticals really stuck out to me. If you were to ask me for a song that describes a summer feeling, Iwould tell you this one. It is such a calming song to listen to. I can definitely go on a run to this song or just walk around Louisville.I would definitely recommend this song and the band.

7 summers by Morgan Wallan

This song hasn’t been on my playlist for long, but recently as it is getting warmer, I’vehad the song on repeat. I’m not usually a big country fan, but this song just screams summer in the south.

Complicated by Mac Miller

To me mac miller is the definition of summer listens. Since 7th grade Mac has always been at the top of my playlists but especially during the summer. When I Listen to Complicated, I really just want to sit and do nothing, whether that is while I’m at the beach, or just on the couch, I just want to sit and do nothing and relax. Mac talks about everyone being uptight and having a lot going on but to just calm down and this song really does that for me.

All the Stars by SZA and Kendrick Lamar

All the Stars by Kendrick Lamar and SZA is always a no skip song for me. No matter what time of year it is, this song will always be a summer song. When I hear the opening beats I think of summer nights, walking around with my friends. All through the winter I would listen to this song as I waited for summer to come and be able to blast this song summer nights.
